QA Analyst - Remote

Overview

As a QA Analyst at Varicent, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our application. You will be responsible for identifying issues, improving processes, and ensuring that our users have a seamless experience.

In Short

• Perform manual testing to validate new features and bug fixes.
• Validate API responses and test database interactions to ensure system reliability.
• Identify, document, and prioritize bugs in JIRA or similar tools.
• Collaborate with a remote, cross-functional team of QA analysts, software engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Contribute to refining the QA process by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements.
• Stay updated on the latest QA trends and tools to improve testing practices.
• Participate in team meetings and shadow senior QA analysts during test planning sessions.
• Take ownership of writing and executing test cases for small features or modules.
• Lead the QA effort for a feature or module, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
• Provide feedback to the team on onboarding processes and identify areas for improvement in QA workflows.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of software testing methodologies, including manual testing.
• Familiarity with QA tools such as JIRA or Postman.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and database testing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• B2 level English or higher is required.
