Overview

The Data Science Analyst at Valley National Bank will leverage expertise in data analysis and business intelligence to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making across various banking operations.

In Short

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for SAP Business Objects and FIS BIC data model.
  • Analyze IBS data and build reports for business customers.
  • Collaborate with business users to challenge reporting assumptions and provide insights.
  • Create extracts and reports for regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Develop a data remediation approach considering potential disruptions.
  • Lead testing efforts for SAP Business Objects upgrades.
  • Maintain documentation for data architecture and field mapping.
  • Support bank-wide reporting processes and troubleshoot issues.
  • Establish data governance processes for system integration.
  • Communicate complex issues to stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus 2 years of experience.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus 5 years of progressive experience.
  • Experience in Data Analysis and Reporting.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence.
  • Experience in SQL Programming.
