Director of OSP Construction - Remote

Overview

Utilities One is looking for a local Director of OSP Construction for the Colorado, Texas, and Missouri markets. The Director of OSP Construction will support our Telecommunications Division in the market. We will provide a world-class turnkey solution to companies building FTTH networks across our country!

In Short

• Develop/implement our end-to-end construction model to standardize our processes/systems and approach/tracking;
• Oversee construction field operations with supervision and oversight of in-house crews, subcontractors, and inspection activities;
• Recruit, manage, and grow our OSP Construction team;
• Identify additional subcontractors/resources to support various construction projects and oversee their quality and schedule;
• Effectively and frequently communicate expectations to external vendors and internal team members;
• Manage and develop our construction vendor relationships & strategic partnerships;
• Work with Utilities One bids and proposals team to lead the effort when responding to RFPs;
• Lead Utilities One managers for all technical and operational issues, to internal or external personnel or inquiries;
• Cultivate a working relationship with customers to identify and support project requirements and ensure efficient processes are in place;
• Work on improving our Construction Processes, Program Management, Operational Support Practices, and Financial Performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in OSP construction management;
• Strong leadership and team management skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to develop and maintain vendor relationships;
• Experience with project management methodologies;
• Knowledge of telecommunications industry standards;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Familiarity with FTTH network construction;
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
