Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role at Smith+Nephew involves supporting the generation of clinical and economic evidence through strategic partnerships and collaboration with various stakeholders in the Advanced Wound Management business.

In Short

  • Manage relationships with customer support and update knowledge bases.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and training for internal teams.
  • Gather intelligence at wound care meetings and exhibitions.
  • Travel requirements of 10-20% for the role.
  • Contribute to new product development with customer insights.
  • Assist in developing global evidence generation plans.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity within the workplace.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MS, RN) or C-NP in relevant fields.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Medical Science Liaison or Medical Affairs.
  • Experience in wound healing preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Authorship in peer-reviewed publications preferred.
  • Experience with skin substitutes is a plus.
  • Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
