Mine Safety Lead - Remote

Overview

Albemarle is seeking an experienced mine safety leader for the Kings Mountain, NC site to support a multidisciplinary team in reopening a brownfield site for spodumene concentrate production. This role is crucial in building, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing the safety component of the HSE management system.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Blue Card with MSHA mining experience.
• Expert knowledge of mine safety standards.
• Experience in safety compliance auditing.
• Strong leadership skills in field safety culture.
• Proficient in technical writing and public speaking.
• Experience in industrial hygiene monitoring.
• Able to manage multiple activities with varying priorities.
• 7 years’ experience in mine safety preferred.
• Ability to coach and motivate others.
• Experience in developing safety management systems.
