Technical Service Engineer - Virtualization (Cloud) - Remote

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain virtualized environments for servers and applications.
• Configure and optimize hypervisors, virtual machines, and infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot virtualization infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
• Ensure compliance with industry and organizational standards for virtualization technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues and enhancements.
• Develop and document policies, procedures, and documentation for virtualization solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in virtualization technologies.
• Provide training and support for internal and external Customers.

• Experience working across various operating systems, hypervisors, and public cloud computing platforms.
• Experience working with backup and disaster recovery platforms.
• Experience in a data center, service provider, or telecom environment.
• Proficiency in creating standard operating procedure documentation.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux OS preferred.
• 3+ years working with virtualization or cloud platforms (e.g., Nutanix, VMware, KVM, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• 1+ years of experience with automation, scripting, or programming languages.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) or 4+ years professional work experience.
• Associate level or higher cloud and/or virtualization certification from industry leading vendors (Azure, VMware, Nutanix, AWS, etc.) preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to achieve CJIS certification within an introductory period of employment.
