The Senior Accountant, serving as an integral member of the accounting team, will help lead the month-end close process, ensure financial statement accuracy, maintain strong internal controls, and provide financial analysis for decision-making.

In Short

Participate in the month-end close process by completing analysis and preparing journal entries such as accruals and deferrals
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Perform in-depth variance analysis for revenue and operating expenses
Assist in preparing and consolidating financial reporting and analysis for P&L and balance sheet
Update daily cash report and assist with cash forecasting
Lead sales tax reporting and filing
Complete various schedules for management reporting
Assist with year-end financial statement audit
Provide direction to Accounting Specialists as needed
Work on special projects as needed

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5-7 years of accounting experience
Strong accounting skills and working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Accounting experience with an advertising/marketing agency a plus
Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication, verbal, and written skills
Must be results-oriented with the ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently
Analytical thinker and problem-solver
Experience with Workamajig advertising agency accounting software a plus
