Senior Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for implementing best-practice policies to ensure the accurate and timely processing of monthly accounting functions. The role requires a hands-on, self-starting, disciplined, and detail-oriented individual with an eye for process improvement and a knack for working independently in a high-volume environment.

In Short

• Perform General Accounting and other related duties for the organization
• Review Bank Reconciliations Monthly
• Monthly Balance Sheet and Account Analysis
• Bi-weekly Payroll and Benefits entries and allocations
• Support monthly financial close process
• Support the Accounts Payable mailbox and Airbase invoice processing
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
• Provide external auditors with assistance for annual audit
• Work within multiple entities to ensure standard processes are followed
• Evaluate processes for better efficiency and controls through automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required
• 5+ years of Accounting experience
• ERP system experience in SAGE Intacct or similar preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets required
• Ability to work independently with strong work ethic
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
