Tele-Med Remote Monitor Sitter, Part-Time

Overview

The Tele-Med Remote Monitor Sitter is responsible for providing continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients remotely, utilizing audio/visual technology to ensure patient safety and well-being.

In Short

• Remotely monitors up to 10 patients using audio/visual technology.
• Verbal redirection of patients to prevent risky behaviors.
• Summons nursing staff when patient assistance is required.
• Maintains documentation of patient observation.
• Participates in hand-off of patient information.
• Ensures a safe environment by reporting safety hazards.
• Establishes effective relationships with patients and healthcare team.
• Attends mandatory training and in-services.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Certified Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Basic computer operation skills required.
• Six months of prior direct patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to act appropriately in emergency situations.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of patient care principles and safety precautions.
