Advanced Practice Provider (APN or PA) - Plastic Surgery - Remote

Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider in the Section of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, using advanced clinical skills and knowledge to provide assessment, evaluation, testing, treatment, therapies, medical management, and other direct care to patients.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
• Perform healthcare services typically done by a physician under supervision.
• Conduct regular cosmetic injectable clinics.
• Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.
• Assist in preparing patients for surgery and providing postoperative care.
• Maintain departmental policies and quality assurance standards.
• Participate in self and peer evaluations to improve care quality.
• Establish collaborative relationships with healthcare colleagues.
• Design patient education programs for informed treatment decisions.
• Evaluate patient care goals and outcomes for effectiveness.

Requirements

• Minimum college degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Current and/or eligible for Illinois licensure/registration.
• Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant licensure in Illinois.
• Certification from the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide direct patient care independently.
• Ability to train or lead others.
