Surgical/Scrub Tech - One Day Surgery - PRN - Remote

Overview

The Surgical/Scrub Tech is responsible for assembling supplies for surgical procedures, maintaining the sterile field, passing surgical instruments, and assisting in room preparation in a clinical setting.

• Position type: PRN (as-needed)
• Assembles supplies for surgical procedures
• Maintains the sterile field during surgeries
• Passes surgical instruments to the surgical team
• Assists in the preparation of the operating room
• Ensures availability of appropriate instrumentation and supplies
• Responsible for cleaning and arranging instruments post-surgery
• Exhibits knowledge of OR equipment maintenance and safety
• Requires proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
• Pre-employment screening required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Scrub Technologist program or 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Ability to follow oral instructions
• Preferred: Minimum of two years on-the-job training in an acute care facility
