Overview

An exciting opportunity is available in the laboratory of Dr. Amanda Stolarz for a Research Assistant to support innovative biomedical research focused on developing novel therapeutics for vascular and lymphatic diseases and mitigating the side effects of cancer therapies.

In Short

• Support innovative biomedical research.
• Assist in surgical procedures for laboratory rodents.
• Conduct molecular biology assays.
• Perform functional measurements of ion channels and mitochondria.
• Execute viral transfection and gene editing techniques.
• Maintain and culture cells and tissue.
• Collect, process, and analyze experimental data.
• Perform general lab maintenance and inventory management.
• Help train and supervise students in the lab.
• Work in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field.
• Three years experience in a professional lab research setting.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
