Research Assistant - Remote

Overview

The Research Assistant will provide first line support for research queries, assist with data collection and analysis, and support project execution at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

In Short

• Provide support for study stakeholders and participants.
• Recruit participants and assist in data collection and cleaning.
• Use MS Access, Excel, and REDCap for data management.
• Prepare IRB documentation and progress reports.
• Organize communication with project staff and participants.
• Conduct literature searches and maintain a bibliographic library.
• Assist in preparing presentations and research reports.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Work collaboratively with clinicians and research teams.
• Ensure adherence to patient privacy and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and interest in healthcare processes.
• Certification in protection of human research subjects (can be obtained after hire).
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with data management and software tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with bibliographic retrieval programs.
• Ability to accept feedback and adjust accordingly.
• Willingness to travel to clinics as needed.
