Overview

The Billing Clerk is an integral member of the Pharmacy finance team, responsible for performing detailed pharmacy billings, requiring basic accounting knowledge and applications of accounting theory under supervision.

In Short

  • Performing pharmacy billing tasks.
  • Reconciling daily revenues and receivables.
  • Submitting manual billings to insurance plans.
  • Applying received funds to receivables.
  • Preparing financial reports for internal clients.
  • Liaising with clients for information exchange.
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in work.
  • Staying informed on accounting issues and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1 year of practical experience required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in a billing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
