Cyber Security Consultant - Remote

Overview

The Cyber Security Consultant will assist companies in analyzing their IT security architectures, minimizing risks, and implementing practical security solutions.

• Consult with internal and external clients to optimize information security processes.
• Analyze existing IT security architectures and identify vulnerabilities and risk areas.
• Develop practical concepts and measures to improve cyber security.
• Implement IT security standards such as ISO 27001 and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, or vulnerability analyses.
• Create technical reports and management presentations assessing security status.
• Act as a liaison between IT, departments, and management.

Requirements

• Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, IT security, or comparable qualification.
• First to several years of experience in IT security, ideally in consulting or security-critical industries.
• Solid knowledge of network security, firewalls, identity & access management, and common attack methods.
• Familiarity with relevant frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, BSI, NIST).
• Experience with security tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners, SIEM solutions) is a plus.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ are desirable.
• Very good German and English language skills.
