Overview

We are seeking an analytical and operationally focused Pharmacy Analyst to join our pharmacy consulting team. This role supports the operational, clerical, and compliance functions of the pharmacy department to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate workflow.

In Short

  • Support pharmacy benefit consulting teams by preparing and organizing documentation for client meetings and RFP responses.
  • Assist in analyzing pharmacy claims data to identify utilization trends and cost drivers.
  • Coordinate benefit design updates and formulary changes for employer groups.
  • Manage client communication regarding pharmacy benefit questions and plan performance metrics.
  • Compile reports for clients outlining claim outcomes and pharmacy spend comparisons.
  • Support consultants during audits and pharmacy benefit reviews.
  • Facilitate data requests and reconciliations between client partners and internal analytics teams.
  • Monitor service-level agreement performance for PBM partners.
  • Assist with benchmarking projects comparing pharmacy programs against industry standards.
  • Ensure documentation adheres to HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Economics.
  • 3–5 years of experience in pharmacy benefits or pharmacy consulting.
  • Experience working with or for a PBM, health plan, or benefits consulting firm.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
