Overview

Ultragenyx is seeking a dynamic and experienced physician leader to join the Global Medical Affairs team to lead the implementation of gene therapy programs at launch.

In Short

• Lead implementation of gene therapy programs.
• Focus on Inborn Errors of Metabolism.
• Collaborate with US Field Medical and Global Medical Strategy Leads.
• Engage with KOLs and clinical centers.
• Provide clinical and scientific education.
• Drive successful implementation of gene therapy.
• Represent Ultragenyx at scientific meetings.
• Stay updated on trends in gene therapy.
• Advise on medical materials and lifecycle management.
• Oversee newborn screening development.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) with Board Certification in relevant fields.
• 10+ years of academic/faculty experience.
• Expertise in managing patients receiving AAV gene therapy.
• Hands-on leadership experience.
• Availability for out of hours work.
• Success in cross-functional settings.
• Established network in the rare disease community.
• Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Continuance in clinical practice setting.
• Willingness to travel 50-70%.
