In Short

• You will report to the Director of Data and help make Udacity a skills-focused organization by analyzing product and content data to align learning experiences with industry needs.
• Serve as the go-to expert for skills-focussed data insights, owning the process from opportunity identification to project execution.
• Enable stakeholders by defining key metrics, providing analytical insights, and proactively conducting analysis to uncover opportunities.
• Drive end-to-end analytics projects, translating business questions into actionable insights and effectively communicating recommendations.
• Balance immediate business needs with advancing the team’s strategy for a scalable, data-driven organization.
• Identify trends and unlock opportunities for growth and improved student success at Udacity.

Requirements

• Bring 7+ years of professional analytics or analytics-related experience (preferably in Edtech or SaaS space) and a team-player attitude, with demonstrated track record of leading data projects.
• As an inspiring analytical leader, you combine business acumen with technical data expertise to build productive partnerships that put data at the center of business decisions.
• You solve problems in your sleep. Applying critical thinking and a willingness to dive into the data, you produce immediate value while still keeping an eye on long-term strategy and scalability.
• Deploy advanced skills in SQL and data visualization / storytelling.
• Effective communication and people skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences and build strong partnerships.
• You take ownership seriously and hold yourself accountable to always deliver in a reliable manner that builds trust.
• You are comfortable and flexible with the needs of being part of a global team with HQ in the USA.
