Overview

As a Retail Center Assistant Manager at U-Haul, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring excellent customer service and team management.

In Short

  • Run daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
  • Make decisions to allocate time and resources effectively.
  • Manage and assign team members for optimal customer care.
  • Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
  • Install hitches and brake controllers as needed.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain a good driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Handle physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of management experience in retail or service industry.
  • Leadership experience in any form.
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to work in a moderately risky environment.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.
