Overview

The Archaeologist Principal Investigator / Field Director will lead cultural resources field crews and assist in the expansion of archaeology services in the Pacific Northwest, managing all phases of cultural resource investigations under federal and state laws.

In Short

  • Lead cultural resources projects and manage archaeological and historic resources projects.
  • Perform research, archaeological fieldwork surveys, and historical research.
  • Coordinate project mobilization and demobilization to project sites.
  • Support Section 106 and Section 110 of the NHPA.
  • Mentor and supervise junior cultural resource personnel.
  • Lead technical and strategy elements of proposal development.
  • Ensure high-quality technical product delivery through quality review protocols.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget obligations.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct independent work with general supervision.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to hold state permits for archaeology.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on simultaneous tasks.
  • Demonstrated skills in project planning and management.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and strong people skills.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must be eligible to be employed in the US.
