Overview

The Archaeologist Principal Investigator/Field Director will lead cultural resources field crews and assist in the expansion of archaeology services in the greater Southwestern United States, overseeing all phases of cultural resource investigations and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

In Short

  • Lead cultural resources projects and manage archaeological field crews.
  • Conduct cultural resource investigations under NHPA.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff.
  • Coordinate project mobilization and demobilization.
  • Prepare technical studies and project permits.
  • Ensure high-quality technical deliverables.
  • Support Section 106 and 110 compliance.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Interact with clients and agency representatives.
  • Conduct archaeological fieldwork and report preparation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field.
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist.
  • Five years of supervisory experience in cultural resource positions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Eligible to be employed in the US.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug tests.
