Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

Tripadvisor is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Find & Discover Team. This team builds foundational search, taxonomy, natural language processing and other capabilities for the Tripadvisor website and app. These capabilities are expressed as both user facing features as well as core services consumed by other product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 7 + years of large scale, full life-cycle development experience.
• Hands-On Experience with Elasticsearch: Proven expertise in schema design, querying, management, and optimization.
• AWS Experience: Proficient in using AWS services and understanding cloud architecture principles.
• Search Algorithms: Understanding of information retrieval and ranking algorithms.
• LLM Experience: Experience designing and developing against large language models is a plus.
• Database Knowledge: Ability to design and query relational databases.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
