Consulting Build Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Act as the primary technical consultant for clients, working directly with them to understand their build infrastructure and processes.
• Assess customer build systems and provide expert recommendations on how to optimize them using NativeLink’s build caching and remote execution solutions.
• Configure and integrate NativeLink into customer environments, including both on-premise and cloud-based setups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build performance, caching, and execution across various environments.
• Work with clients to define success criteria, track project milestones, and deliver measurable results.
• Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and help improve NativeLink.
• Conduct training and workshops for clients to help them understand and utilize NativeLink to its full potential.
• Provide ongoing support to clients, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization recommendations.
• Document best practices, case studies, and solutions for future reference and sharing with the broader team.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to build systems, CI/CD, and remote execution.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in build engineering, CI/CD pipelines, or software development.
• Strong understanding of build systems, continuous integration, and build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, etc.).
• Experience with build caching, remote execution, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or shell scripting.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues in large-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
