• Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for Toast’s transaction processing engine.
• Design and deliver new payment capabilities such as new authorization types and ML-powered retry logic.
• Interpret and apply card scheme rules and processor specifications to ensure scalable and compliant implementation.
• Partner closely with engineering to modernize Toast’s transaction layer.
• Improve platform resilience and traceability.
• Collaborate with processors and partners to scope new integrations.
• Define KPIs and instrument metrics to monitor transaction success.
• Work cross-functionally with various teams to ensure holistic product delivery.
• Build internal tooling for real-time visibility into transaction lifecycles.
• Support internationalization of Toast’s transaction platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience in payments or fintech.
• Proven track record in shipping complex payment capabilities.
• Strong technical fluency with payment specifications and API definitions.
• Deep familiarity with card networks and transaction lifecycle.
• Experience with regional payment differences and compliance.
• Skilled in leading platform-level initiatives.
