Senior GIS Technical Analyst - Remote

Overview

Timmons Group is currently seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to join our GIS Services group to drive technical excellence to our clients on the West Coast.

In Short

• Perform a wide variety of production tasks for geospatial projects and data management.
• Assist and support Project Managers and Developers in meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines.
• Offer comprehensive consulting on data management best practices.
• Lead the design and development of enterprise geographic information systems (GIS).
• Conduct data model design and development tasks.
• Apply sophisticated geospatial analysis techniques to datasets.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to provide GIS support.
• Support the development and maintenance of Esri-based GIS solutions.
• Perform cartographic tasks to develop end-user map products.
• Provide ongoing support for GIS programs and functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least eight years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Software, including Desktop, Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise Server & Portal.
• Experience managing Esri versions and versioning schemes.
• Familiarity with Esri Production Mapping suite of tools.
• Competence in SQL Server and Oracle database development.
• Fluency in scripting languages like SQL, Python, ArcPy, .NET.
• Proficient in producing quality cartographic products.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
