Senior Software Engineer, Platform - Remote

Overview

This role is a Senior Software Engineer position with a strong focus on platform and infrastructure development. You and your team will own outcomes around stability, quality, maintainability, and speed of development for the Timely technical platform.

In Short

• Identify, prioritize, design and deliver technical platform solutions.
• Engage with engineering stakeholders to understand pain points and opportunities.
• Drive the investigation and decisioning on key technology decisions.
• Own production availability by implementing observability and recovery practices.
• Uplevel the Timely engineering team on platform technologies.
• Own the delivery of critical projects by defining scope and managing timelines.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Ability to design and develop solutions full-stack.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Experience in a fast startup environment.
• Prior experience in EdTech is a plus.
• Fully remote role with a preference for candidates based in NY or Boston.
