Java/Python Developer (Info Systems Engineer) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Java/Python Developer (Info Systems Engineer) to join Investment Technology group within Nuveen, responsible for programming and configuration of IT Systems Software to develop complex software components.

In Short

• Collaborate with IT and Business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot technical solutions.
• Develop applications using Java, Spring, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Create microservices using Python and related modules.
• Perform defect verification, debugging, and testing.
• Deploy applications into AWS Cloud.
• Maintain technical documentation as per SDLC standards.
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodology.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services like Lambda, EC2, and EKS.
• Preferred knowledge of Asset Management and Financial Services.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development using Core Java and Python.
• Experience with Microservices, REST Services, and AWS cloud technologies.
• Working experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
• Ability to write complex queries and perform debugging.
• Familiarity with Unix commands and utilities.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with API Development and Enterprise Application Integration.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Preferred knowledge of DevOps practices.
