Systems Engineer - Remote

Thrive is a rapidly growing technology solutions provider focusing upon Cloud, Cyber Security, Networking, Disaster Recovery and Managed Services. A Systems Engineer will have responsibility for remote client support, including heavy interaction with end-users in diverse computing environments.

In Short

• Handle diverse computing environments in various business contexts.
• Analyze and document client/server and network environments.
• Perform rapid analysis of workstation/server incidents.
• Provide consulting on applications and best practices.
• Troubleshoot high-level workstation, server, and network incidents.
• Set client expectations and provide regular updates.
• Monitor service desk for escalated tasks.
• Communicate troubleshooting steps clearly.
• Resolve incidents related to Office 365, connectivity, and remote access.
• Work independently and in a team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
• 4-6+ years in desktop/server support.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience with network configuration and hardware issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Workstation Technologies.
• Experience with Office 365 and Azure.
• Strong communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Available for after-hours work if necessary.
• Ability to follow documented processes.
