Search Engine and AI Optimization Specialist - Remote

This position is fully remote, and all applicants must live and be authorized to work in Canada. We are TAG, a digital agency that helps top-tier brands create beautiful digital experiences that drive performance. We’re looking for a Search and AI Optimization Specialist to support and execute across SEO, Local SEO, and AEO/GEO.

In Short

• Conduct technical SEO audits focused on structured content, crawlability, indexability, and site architecture.
• Identify errors and technical risks, providing clear, actionable recommendations.
• Support optimization across ecommerce and CMS platforms like Shopify and Drupal.
• Perform keyword research to inform content briefs and prioritization.
• Execute on-page optimization including titles, meta descriptions, and internal linking.
• Support localized and regional content strategies aligned to search intent.
• Maintain Google Business Profile hygiene for multi-location brands.
• Optimize location pages for visibility in local results.
• Support AI discoverability through structured data and schema markup.
• Help connect SEO and AI work to business KPIs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SEO, preferably within an agency.
• Comfortable executing technical, content, and local SEO work end-to-end.
• Understand how SEO connects to business outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO tools.
• Familiarity with CMS and ecommerce platforms.
• Well-versed in AI-driven discovery.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and communicate effectively.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and focused on practical execution.
