Insurance Operations Specialist (Small Commercial Insurance) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an Insurance Operations Specialist to provide support to the Insurance Team of Thimble, the industry's compliant radicals, in the risk selection and review of the current book as well as the implementation and offering of new products to a wider and more diverse customer base.

In Short

• Assist in the development and maintenance of underwriting guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and principles.
• Support the preparation of product filings and updates.
• Monitor and manage underwriting risk to deliver target loss ratios.
• Prepare and deliver regulatory notices to insureds.
• Assist in building requirements for changes to quote flow and appetite.
• 5+ years of experience in the P&C segment required.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills needed.
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the P&C segment, including small commercial experience.
• Ability to analyze and make decisions quickly.
• Insurtech and/or startup experience preferred.
• Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with a digital underwriting platform preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
