Overview

The Maintenance Planner supports mining operations by planning and scheduling short- to medium-term maintenance for mobile and/or fixed plant equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. This role focuses on improving equipment availability, reducing unplanned downtime, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

In Short

  • Produce, review, and maintain rolling monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.
  • Maintain currency and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and work orders.
  • Identify potential work using an effective condition monitoring program.
  • Develop weekly agreed maintenance plans to maximize production.
  • Align maintenance activities with periodic maintenance.
  • Develop a recommended and optimized bill of materials.
  • Ensure work planned is completed within budget.
  • Assist with procurement and freight of parts and services.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance processes for additional maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinate warranty claims and ensure compliance with site maintenance schemes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ planning experience in equipment maintenance.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with SAP software.
  • Expertise in set-up of ERP systems.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fixed plant equipment maintenance.
  • Surface mining experience.
  • Expertise in predictive and preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Strong Excel and MS Project skills.
  • Valid US Driver’s License.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the USA without sponsorship.
