Remote CP Case Assistant VA

Overview

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC. is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote CP Case Assistant VA to join our growing CP team. This position will report directly to the Immigration Department Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of immigration law, particularly with family-based immigration matters and consular processing (CP), and be capable of making informed decisions regarding case management. A client-service-focused mindset, along with exceptional case management skills, is essential. The position will primarily focus on I-130 petitions and consular processing cases.

• Analyze case documents and prepare I-130 petitions for filing.
• Communicate with clients regarding procedural issues.
• Oversee the status of I-130 consular processing cases.
• Follow firm intake procedures for documentation accuracy.
• Maintain digital and physical files for cases.
• Provide clients with regular updates on case progress.
• Assist attorneys in managing I-130 case load.
• Complete tasks and provide updates on case progress.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in immigration law.
• Familiarity with USCIS procedures and consular processing.
• Experience with consular processing cases.
• Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal.
• Proficiency with case management software.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
