Overview

The University Annual Giving & Stewardship in the Office of Engagement is seeking a work study student employee to assist in alumni and parent engagement and annual giving efforts.

In Short

• Help write direct marketing appeals and impact pieces.
• Create social media posts.
• Edit and proof drafts.
• Collect and write stories about UVA's community.
• Work remotely with some in-person collaboration opportunities.
• Report to the Assistant Director of Content Creation.
• Eligible for student employment and work study.
• Position runs from August 26, 2025, to May 8, 2026.
• Pay rate of $19/hour for up to 20 hours a week.
• Minimum of 10 hours a week required.

Requirements

• Current UVA student.
• Strong writing skills.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Curiosity to meet people and learn their stories.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• No prior experience required.
• No specific licensure needed.
