Overview

The North West Company is hiring experienced department managers to relocate, live and work in a remote northern Canadian community, providing relocation assistance, food and housing allowances.

In Short

  • Accountable for the day-to-day operation of the C-Store.
  • Implement company standards and manage assets.
  • Develop and train staff.
  • Focus on customer service and relationship building.
  • Maximize sales and profits through effective management.
  • Ensure operational standards are consistently met.
  • Participate in advertising campaigns and promotions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and shrink reduction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a high-volume grocery/retail environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proven sales results in previous roles.
  • Knowledge of grocery operating principles.
  • Computer proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work in remote areas and handle physical demands.
