Overview

The Buyer II is responsible for performing purchasing duties related to supply and capital transactions, ensuring accurate pricing and effective communication with stakeholders.

In Short

• Perform purchasing duties for supply and capital transactions.
• Generate purchase orders and review contracts for pricing accuracy.
• Communicate and resolve product backorders and locate substitutes.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain effective communication among Supply Chain staff and vendors.
• Participate in major project equipment planning and negotiations.
• Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in healthcare-related purchasing preferred.
• Must demonstrate superior customer service and communication skills.
• Position is full-time, first shift.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required or 6 years of buyer experience.
• Experience in healthcare purchasing and capital equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of computer programs for healthcare and Materials Management.
• Ability to direct and control product purchasing independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
