Overview

The Sr. Manager, Background Screening Program is responsible for leading the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of the company’s background screening program, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

In Short

  • Lead the end-to-end background screening program.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on background screening laws.
  • Manage relationships with third-party background screening vendors.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Talent Acquisition, and Compliance teams.
  • Monitor and analyze program metrics and trends.
  • Develop and deliver training and communication materials.
  • Lead investigations and escalations related to discrepancies.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and legislative changes.
  • 5+ years of experience in background screening or HR.
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local background screening laws.
  • Proven experience managing third-party vendors.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in retail or logistics hiring environments.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
