The Food Safety and Quality Compliance Specialist will oversee food safety and compliance programs across multiple facilities, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices in food manufacturing.

In Short

  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and food safety standards.
  • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Maintain and improve food safety management systems.
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead quality initiatives for new product development.
  • Conduct training programs for staff on food safety compliance.
  • Manage compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Travel regularly between three Ohio facilities.
  • Foster a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with various teams on quality assurance and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in food safety compliance.
  • Knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, and GFSI standards.
  • Experience in developing and managing SOPs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Ability to travel regularly to multiple facilities.
  • Preferred certifications: PCQI, SQF Practitioner.
