Economic Development Research Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Economic Development Research Specialist will support the City of Fort Worth's Economic Development Department by conducting research and analysis to promote job growth and investment in the community.

In Short

• Conduct primary and secondary research on Fort Worth's economy.
• Manage research programs to support growth in target industries.
• Utilize GIS and data-driven information for investment strategies.
• Prepare market research and customized reports.
• Maintain knowledge of data and research tools.
• Prepare data visualization items for reports and marketing.
• Work Monday to Friday, with some evening/weekend work required.
• Hybrid work schedule available.

• Salary range is $59,984 to $77,979 annually.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or related field.
• Two years of research and/or GIS experience.
• Experience with financial/statistical analysis techniques.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with GIS and data/research software programs.
• Knowledge of PID and TIF analyses preferred.
• Experience with data visualization and storytelling.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization.
