Overview

We are seeking a mid-career Safety & Certification Engineer with hands-on avionics experience to support the safety analysis and certification strategy for complex airborne electronic systems.

In Short

  • Lead safety assessments and certification planning for avionics hardware and software.
  • Develop certification artifacts and documentation demonstrating compliance with regulations.
  • Define and validate system and software safety requirements.
  • Support system verification and validation activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and safety reviews with internal teams and regulators.
  • Identify hazards and propose mitigations to reduce safety risks.
  • Prepare technical responses to regulatory authorities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and interact with regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain knowledge of aviation safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in avionics safety and certification engineering.
  • Experience producing and managing safety analyses and certification documentation.
  • Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Experience with requirements management and configuration control tools.
