Overview

The External Communications Manager will support the development and execution of TerraPower’s external communications strategies that drive storytelling across multiple audiences and platforms.

• Support the development and manage implementation of proactive communications strategies.
• Serve as a key media contact; build and maintain relationships with journalists and industry analysts.
• Write clear and engaging content reflecting the company’s voice and culture.
• Draft press releases, op-eds, talking points, and media statements.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends.
• Coordinate external stakeholder engagement efforts.
• Support crisis and issues management communications.
• Maintain relevant marketing and communications policies.
• Manage TerraPower’s presence at industry conference shows.
• Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in marketing and strategic communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with multiple disciplines and outsourced teams.
• Direct experience creating content for traditional and digital channels.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Demonstrated experience in media relations and crisis communications.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear messages.
• Proficiency with digital communication tools and social media platforms.
• Preference for experience in technology, aerospace, or energy sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
