Data Center Build Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Oversee day-to-day construction and infrastructure deployment activities during data center builds.
• Coordinate the installation of power, cooling, cabling, racks, containment, and related systems.
• Interpret and implement detailed design drawings and technical specifications.
• Monitor contractor work for compliance with design and safety protocols.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) and commissioning.
• Track build progress and document changes.
• Ensure all infrastructure systems are installed and tested according to standards.
• Collaborate with design engineers on field changes and design feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments, preferably in data center construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structured cabling systems.
• Familiarity with data center standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE).
• Proficiency in construction documentation and scheduling tools.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
