Bioinformatics Scientist, Solid Tumor - Remote

Overview

Tempus is seeking a highly motivated and capable bioinformatics scientist with experience and interest in translational cancer research and clinical genomics. This position involves developing algorithms and collaborating with scientists to improve cancer care.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Genomics or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Computational skills using Python, R, and/or Bioconductor.
• Experience in cancer genomics and next-generation sequencing data.
• Experience using workflow languages such as CWL and/or WDL.
• Experience with cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Background in predictive or prognostic algorithm development.
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Experience in clinical settings is preferred.
