Site Reliability Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, education, and support to ensure the highest level of reliability and availability for critical applications.

• Drive to maintain and increase system operations quality, availability, and security.
• Partner with development team for efficiencies in technical platforms.
• Assist in the development and deployment of solutions to increase service stability.
• Analyze service performance to improve quality and customer experience.
• Evaluate tools to ensure consistent processes and reduce defects.
• Advise on recovery tooling to adhere to enterprise standards.
• Introduce new technologies to minimize friction for production releases.
• Provide regular reports including weekly activity reports.
• Other activities assigned by management as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in AWS on a production level required.
• Strong scripting background with preference for cloud native networking.
• Expert in installing and administering Linux operating systems.
• 3-5 years of experience in operational roles like Linux admin or DevOps engineer.
• Experience with Puppet/Ansible or another configuration management suite.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
• Elasticsearch self-hosted Cluster Administration experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
