Location: Fully Remote

Tarrytown Expocare is seeking a Billing Manager to join our Revenue Cycle Department. This role will be responsible for overseeing billing operations across multiple pharmacy locations, with a focus on workflow management, team coaching, and staff development. The Billing Manager will lead their team using KPIs and other performance metrics to maintain consistency and efficiency, while also collaborating with leadership to improve billing functions such as prior authorizations, cash authorizations, and other core processes.

We’re looking for someone with a strong pharmacy billing background, preferably in a long-term care pharmacy setting, who can bring both strategic oversight and hands-on expertise. This position is available either on-site at our Austin headquarters or as a remote opportunity.

In Short

• Lead the team in processing insurance payments, ensuring accurate billing information, and working with other parts of the pharmacy to ensure patient care.
• Manage the billing team to ensure that all prescriptions are billed appropriately prior to shipment.
• Be available to answer technical questions from team members and direct them in daily activities.
• Ensure the completion of prior authorizations and communicate with physicians and staff when additional information is needed.
• Work with Director and Other Billing Manager to streamline workflow and maximize efficient productivity.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of pharmacy billing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized with attention to detail
• Ability to coach and mentor a remote billing team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Current CPhT certification required
• Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred
• Working knowledge of FrameWorks and ECM preferred
