Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Sales Team Lead to spearhead sales strategies, manage a high-performing team, and drive success in the business funding and alternative lending space.

In Short

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales funnel/process tailored to the business funding/alternative lending industry.
  • Lead, train, and manage a small team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to ensure they meet performance targets.
  • Actively contribute to outbound and inbound prospecting efforts, including cold-calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn campaigns.
  • Schedule and manage qualified appointments for the client’s calendar, ensuring prospects meet pre-set qualification criteria.
  • Monitor and report on team performance metrics, including outreach, booking, and closing rates.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales processes; regularly review and optimize them.
  • Handle complex sales or escalated issues, collaborating with leadership to secure deals.
  • Ensure alignment with the organization’s overall sales strategy and objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, ideally in business funding, alternative lending, or financial services.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful sales funnels/processes and managing a team to achieve targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales quotas in a BDR or similar capacity.
  • Strong experience using CRMs like HubSpot or PipeDrive for contact and pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, or similar lead generation tools.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for reporting and analytics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
