Cloud Engineer - Remote

Overview

T-Rex Solutions is looking to select a Cloud Engineer to support the US Department of the Treasury TCloud enterprise cloud development effort. This effort aims to facilitate holistic multi-cloud solutions to meet the Department of Treasury’s enterprise-wide infrastructure needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and designing cloud solutions (within AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI) and designing/building solutions, and processes to deploy, operate, and maintain resilient secure Cloud environments.

In Short

• Develop and design cloud solutions (within AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI).
• Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Iac) and SRE principles.
• Maintenance and ongoing development of automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure.
• Enable observability and resilience throughout multi-cloud landing zones.
• Support implementation of security policies and governance.
• Continuously assess and onboard new FedRAMP cloud services.
• Optimize cloud performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and at least 4 years' experience.
• Proven background working in cloud environments with experience in Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools, and CSPs.
• Experience with containerization and management, Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of cloud high availability and disaster recovery planning.
