Overview

The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out mechanical maintenance work in the Balama Process Plant, ensuring availability and reliability of operations.

In Short

• Execute maintenance work for the Balama processing operation.
• Specialize in steel fabrication and chute repair work.
• Respond to breakdown events promptly.
• Complete PM tasks and ensure all work history is documented.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to meet KPI’s.
• Provide technical advice and support to the Senior Team.
• Maintain high standards of quality in all work.
• Ensure welding equipment is safely operable and clean.
• Hold a Mechanical/Fabrication Trade Qualification.
• Have 2+ years of maintenance experience in mineral processing/heavy industry.

• Mechanical/Fabrication Trade Qualification.
• 2+ years maintenance experience in mineral processing/heavy industry.
• Flotation/Milling/Filtration experience is highly desirable.
