Engineering Lead - Remote

We’re looking for a technically strong Engineering Lead to guide, inspire, and empower a cross-functional squad. This is a hands-on role combining full-stack engineering expertise with delivery ownership. You’ll lead by example - shaping system architecture, reviewing code, and removing blockers to ensure smooth delivery of backend and frontend capabilities.

You’ll play a pivotal role in helping the team build scalable systems, drive technical excellence, and align engineering output with product outcomes. As the team continues to scale, the scope of this role will expand - creating clear opportunities to build and lead your own team. You’ll also have the chance to grow into senior leadership positions across the Development team with a progression path tailored to your strengths and ambitions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a hands-on technical leader.
• Deep backend expertise in Grails, Spring Boot, or Python.
• Strong command of architectural principles and system design.
• Track record of leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience running agile ceremonies.
• Comfortable with AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Interest in joining a high-performance culture.
• Experience working at pace and thrive under conditions of ambiguity.
