Overview

As a Tax Analyst for the Federal 1040 Team at Thomson Reuters, you will be instrumental in enhancing our UltraTax CS product line by applying your tax knowledge and experience in a flexible work environment.

In Short

• Analyze tax forms and laws to keep software current.
• Design client interfaces for tax products.
• Assess regulatory developments impacting tax products.
• Write specifications for software engineers.
• Test software products for quality assurance.
• Update help documentation with the Content team.
• Support Customer Success team during peak season.
• Utilize tax knowledge to improve product reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of individual income tax preparation experience.
• Extensive knowledge of individual tax law.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.
• Experience with electronic filing of tax returns.
• Experience with tax planning and client advisory is a plus.
• Partnership and/or S Corporation tax preparation experience is a plus.
• State, city, and local income tax preparation experience is a plus.
