We're looking for a deeply technical Senior Backend Engineer who thrives at the systems level and loves building performant, scalable infrastructure.

In Short

• Integrate with external systems (EHR platforms, telehealth providers, billing services).
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure strict type safety.
• Implement security, monitoring, and auditing measures for HIPAA compliance.
• Create and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant microservices using Node.js.
• Implement secure data integrations with external APIs.
• Define and optimize database schemas in PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Enforce API security best practices and maintain audit logging.
• Write automated tests and maintain API documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and conduct code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade APIs and microservices.
• Strong TypeScript expertise.
• Experience integrating with external APIs and data streams.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with API security mechanisms and HIPAA requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration in a distributed team.
